BIOGRAPHY

Welcome to my website! My name is Charlie Brown. I am a lifelong resident of Fort Myers Florida, I am artist, a third- generation Lee Countian, a pilot, Anesthesiologist, an avid fisherman and foremost a father of two beautiful girls Kinsey and Madison.

I began my journey evolving Shell Creek Ink’s back in 2005 when I decided to turn one of my biggest passion in to printmaking following the method of Gyotaku.

Gyotaku is the discipline and technique that dates back to the early 1800's when Japanese fisherman inked their catch and rubbed it onto a sheet of paper to record its size. There has always been the saying that fishermen are liars, but when you ink a fish it’s the real thing. For me it’s all about the fish. The nuances in capturing a refined image.

In every piece I aim to convey the natural beauty of nature's design.
