My friend Brin says, "If cubera walked the earth, there wouldn’t be a person left." Cubera are rarely taken in the Gulf of Mexico. They like deepwater shipwrecks and reach 120 pounds. My friend Andy caught this 30-pound fish on a bachelor-party fishing trip. It was great eating, so I just salvaged the head.
