Flags
Yellowtail snapper fishermen often anchor on their spots just before sundown. Many have a secret personal
mixture of chum to bring clouds of "flags," named for their flashy yellow tails, out of the reef and up to the surface.
They are painted by nature in brilliantly colored patterns.
This original painting was on a textured paper
that shows a pronounced dot pattern. It reproduces very well for prints.
